Bucky’s songs originally recorded as stripped-down demos! The low-fi special.
While the Remainders were still in high gear I had cut back on my acoustic gigs. Then in 1993 I decided to go into the studio with my acoustic guitar to do simple recordings of 50-60 songs for my personal archive. In the process, I to release some of the tracks on a CD.
I kept the recording simple—no percussion, no background vocals, no bass, no electric guitars. The stripped-down, less-is-more model. Mostly it’s me singin’ and playin’ acoustic guitar with a bit of help from pal Don Stiernberg on fiddle and mandolin, Andy Dee on lap steel/dobro, T.C. Furlong on pedal steel, and fellow Remainder Buddha Slim on accordion.
