Bucky Halker Presents Rebel Voices

April 28 @ 12:00 am CDT

The Ghost of Woody Guthrie: Bucky Halker & Andy Dee

Bucky will be presenting a solo performance of American Protest Songs.  Rebel Voices includes music from IWW Icon Joe Hill, Depression Era spokesman Woody Guthrie and how their influence brought forth the likes of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.  In 2015, Bucky released a commemorative CD collection of the Songs of Joe Hill, including some songs never before recorded.  Bucky also participated in a year long run of tribute concerts about Joe Hill across the United States and Canada.  Bucky holds a Ph.D. in American History with an emphasis on Labor History and has written countless articles and a book on the subject.  Join us for this very special program and learn the beginnings of the American Protest Song.  Check back for further details and time of the program/concert.
